Plugin Update: Syndicate v1.3 is now available + fix for Carve on macOS

TL;DR

  • Syndicate 1.3 is now available with some great new features. Currently the full version is available over on the website for $15, or $18 from 10th June

  • Carve has been notarised for macOS, so will fix any issues with running it on recent versions of macOS

Syndicate 1.3

Syndicate v1.3 is now available! The last few updates have added undo/redo, modulateable LFO parameters, copyable chains, and more features and fixes (full list at the end of this email).

For anyone that hasn't seen Syndicate before, it runs in your DAW like any other plugin, and hosts your favourite effects plugins to allow you to create complex parallel chains of effects and modulate their parameters.

Right now it's available for $15, but will be $18 from 10th June - so you have just over a week to save a few dollars and get it at the current price. If you'd like an introduction to what Syndicate can do, there's a compilation of a few experiments here on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2M6_AjdzNpA

Added in Syndicate 1.3:

New features

  • LFO parameters can now be modulated by other LFOs, macros, or envelope followers
  • Chain names can now be edited
  • An entire chain can now be copied using the drag handle while holding the Alt or Option key
  • LFO minimum rate has now been reduced from 0.5Hz (or 16/1 when tempo sync’d), to 0Hz (or 32/1 when tempo sync’d)
  • Holding command while selecting a plugin keeps the plugin selector window open so you can easily select another plugin
  • Holding command while selecting a parameter keeps the modulation parameter selector window open so you can easily select another parameter
  • Improved support for loading presets which were created on another operating system (eg. an instance of Syndicate running on macOS can now load presets which were created by an instance of Syndicate on Windows and vice versa)

Fixes

  • Fixes an issue introduced in 1.2.0 where macro names aren’t saved after editing
  • Fixes an issue in FL Studio where the UI is loaded before the plugin state is loaded, leaving the UI in it’s initial state until a parameter is moved
  • [macOS] Editing macro names after resizing the main window is now enabled. Previously this was disabled due to an issue that has been resolved in macOS 14.2 (details here)
  • [macOS] Fixes an issue where opening an AudioUnit plugin in a VST3 instance of Syndicate would cause a crash if Syndicate wasn’t configured with a sidechain input

Added in Syndicate 1.2:

New features

  • Undo/redo is now supported
  • Demo version can now save and load presets

Fixes

  • On macOS some plugins which previously couldn't be scanned will now work correctly (thanks PluginGuru for some suggestions here!)
  • Fixes an issue where saving over an existing preset file doesn't update the file
  • Fixes an issue where macro names aren't updated in the UI after using the Load button
  • Fixes an issue where the lower value of the enveloper follower input filter isn't restored correctly after closing and reopening the UI
  • Fixes an issue in multiband mode where deleting a band while it is soloed causes other bands to remain muted
  • Fixes an issue in multiband mode where deleting the lowest band can cause the remaining bands to be routed incorrectly
  • Fixes an issue where audio may not be processed correctly in split types other than series when the DAW is using dynamic buffer sizes

Carve v2.6.1 For the first update of the year and we have a small fix for Carve, specifically when running in FL Studio: Fixes an issue where FL Studio loads Carve with a mono input and output, causing the stereo button to be disabled. FL Studio will now load Carve with a stereo input and output by default As usual you can get the update over on www.whiteelephantaudio.com, or by clicking the link below. We have a small update to MONSTR this month, which fixes a crash that may sometimes be seen while interacting with the UI. For the first update of the year, we have a relatively small bug fix for MONSTR: Fixes an issue where previously if the host DAW was using dynamic buffer sizes, MONSTR would continue to use the buffer size initially configured by the host rather than the actual buffer size. This shouldn't have caused any noticeable issues, but would use marginally more CPU than is required As usual you can get the update over on www.whiteelephantaudio.com, or by clicking the link below.
